About Us
Welcome and we’re glad you stopped by!
Let us tell you a little bit about us.
Who We Are
We are all broken people who celebrate that God loves us no matter where we have come from or what we have done. We are all God’s children and we look forward to welcoming you in the Good Shepherd family. We are radically inclusive and passionate about serving.
Whether you are new to church, starting over, searching for a church home or just looking for something that is missing, we hope that we can meet you in person and explore together!
We Gather
….to worship God and grow in our faith on Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM. Our beautiful worship center reflects our rich heritage. The multi-media worship experience includes a meaningful mix of traditional and contemporary music. The messages will challenge and inspire you. (Check out recent messages.) Come as you are. Shorts to jeans to dresses…you will feel comfortable.
Nursery care for infant and toddlers, braille hymnals, a chairlift, and hearing assist devices are all available.
We Learn
…and grow in our faith by coming together in small groups for study and discussion. In addition to growing together, we get to know one another on a different level and lean on each other.
We Serve
…because we are called to make a difference in our community and the world.
We Give
…because everything belongs to God and we joyfully return a portion to further important ministries.
We Love
….because we are loved. We hope that you will join us and feel the love.
About Our Name
Good Shepherd represents the rich relationship that all of us have with God.
The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not want. Ps 23:1
I am the Good Shepherd. I know my own and my own know me. John 10:14
Our name constantly reminds us that God is always with us…all of us. We only need to open our hearts and minds to his unending love for us.
What We Believe
We are part of the United Methodist community. This larger group of churches are linked together in mission and ministry, allowing us to accomplish far more than any one church or person could alone. One great example is our work to wipe out malaria in sub-Sahara Africa…imagine teaming with people all over the world to be a part of saving lives! Learn more about United Methodists at umc.org.
