Our Pastor
Rev. Rachel Kain
I am so glad that you are here! This is my second appointment as a United Methodist pastor, but I have been a lifelong church member and leader, especially in worship, music, administration, technology, spiritual practices, and communications. Prior to answering my call to ordained ministry, I worked for 15 years in software development project management, after several years as an editor at a reference publisher. I am a 2024 graduate of Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois where I graduated with dual degrees: an MDiv and an MA in Pastoral Care and Counseling in Spiritual Care and Chaplaincy.
I am excited about the opportunity to lead Good Shepherd as they work to be a blessing to the neighborhood! I hope to walk with this church and its neighborhood as we strive to build Beloved Community, one heart at a time! Connecting with one another in the love of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit is THE key to connecting with God! And I would love to connect with YOU!
